Dr. Wilson
Dr. Wilson was led to a profession in chiropractic after being involved in a serious car accident at the age of seventeen. When doctors told her that she would require surgery and may still be in a wheelchair by the age of thirty, she began to explore other options. That is when she discovered chiropractic. Her chiropractor took the time to explain everything that was happening and asked her to participate in her healthcare decisions and treatment. Not only was she able to stay out of a wheelchair, but by the next year, she was working on an ambulance as an EMT. She was able to serve her community as a paramedic and firefighter while she worked her way through college. She is passionate about empowering her patients in the same way she was empowered by her chiropractor.
After obtaining undergraduate degrees in Paramedic Sciences, Medical Biology with a minor in Chemistry, and Human Biology, she pursued a master’s degree in Nutrition and Human Performance. She graduated as the Valedictorian. She then completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University. While there, she studied several specialized chiropractic techniques for both joints and muscles that allow her to treat people of all ages in a variety of ways. It was during this time that she became passionate about women’s health and became aware of a need for more practitioners that will be able to help with a variety of hormonal issues that may arise during a woman’s lifetime. This passion led her to round out her education by completing post-graduate work in acupuncture through the International Academy of Chiropractic Acupuncture. She was then board-certified in this technique and includes it as one of the many tools that she uses to care for the whole individual.
